In an old apartment block nestled in the heart of Vienna, three different stories intertwine, each set in motion by a tragic car accident. The sudden death doesn’t just leave its mark on the street but echoes deep into the lives of three women, each standing at the brink of personal crisis.

The first is a devoted nurse, living what seems to be an ideal domestic life. Yet, the very stability she’s built begins to suffocate her. In a moment of impulsive desire, she falls into the arms of a stylish traveling salesman, a man with a penchant for fashion and a growing obsession with sex and erotic photos. Between them brews a passionate but almost silent affair, a forbidden whisper shared by two restless souls.

The next story follows a fragile young cashier who works at a grocery store. Desperate to hold on to her cheating Yugoslavian boyfriend, she lies and says she’s pregnant, clinging to a love that’s slowly slipping away. Meanwhile, a recently divorced woman finds herself unable to escape the shadows of her past. Her violent ex-husband, living in complete denial of their separation, is determined to win her back by any means necessary. Three women, three fractured hearts, all caught in the tension between letting go and holding on to what can no longer be saved.
