After the very successful part 1, Hong Kong cinema continued to produce part 2 of A Chinese Torture Chamber. Without making the audience wait too long, part 2 was released in 1998, and became the most sought-after category 3 film in the HK market. In part 2, there were quite a few changes in the cast, but it was a breakthrough in the production stage.

In the opening scene, a woman was sentenced to death by a thousand cuts. The story of A Chinese Torture Chamber 2 then opens a series of flashbacks. First, three unlucky farmers tried to steal a man’s horse and belongings, but were caught red-handed. After befriending the potential thieves and teaching them how to hunt and fend for themselves, the man left to take a job as a general, appointed by the government to maintain the law in the district. Six months pass and the three visit the general’s home, only to discover that he is not as kind as he appears.

After half an hour of elaborate plotting, A Chinese Torture Chamber 2 finally gets into gear and starts rolling. The rest of the film consists of more sex and torture, right up until the end credits. Producer Wong Jing is no stranger to the genre and knows what his audience wants, plot comes second to nudity and violence. The women are all hot and often undress, and in between the sex, we get some much-needed violence to keep things interesting.
