Bruce Le is a name that may be familiar to many people because it is quite similar to the name of the Chinese martial arts legend. In fact, he is also active in the film industry, and directed and starred in the light-hearted horror film Comfort Women, which explores the Chinese women forced into sexual slavery for the Japanese army during World War II.
The film is filled with gratuitous nudity, brutal violence, and horrific scenes of sexual assault. Bruce Le gives it his all in the final act, when the brothel is destroyed in a cloud of gunfire and explosions.
The film tells the story of Le and Lily Lee, playing two kind-hearted Japanese people who are shocked to learn about a secret brothel where these “comfort women” are forced to live in subhuman conditions. Lily Lee goes undercover as a journalist, but is quickly arrested and forced to become a comfort woman.
