After retiring due to illness and slowly losing his ability to move, Jun Soo, a wealthy but lonely man, retreats from the city to spend his final days in a quiet countryside villa. By his side are only his cold, distant wife Hye Sook and a mysterious man named Joo Seok. But Hye Sook isn’t there to care for him, she’s simply waiting for the day he takes his last breath.
As Jun Soo becomes increasingly paralyzed and dependent on a wheelchair, Hye Sook begins an illicit affair with Joo Seok. One night, Jun Soo is completely immobilized, unable to move or speak. Unaware of this, Hye Sook hires a young caregiver so she can avoid her husband and enjoy her secret romance in peace. But things take a turn when Joo Seok starts to develop feelings for the caregiver. And Jun Soo, seemingly helpless and silent, is secretly plotting something of his own.
When betrayal comes to light, Jun Soo makes a quiet, dangerous proposal to So Eun the only person in that house who hasn’t lied.
