Accompanied by his loyal old servant, the scholar Sung Li Ho (played by Hong Hoi) embarks on a journey to the capital to take the imperial examination. This is the greatest opportunity of his life, a turning point that could bring him fame and fortune. Along the way, they stop at a grand house owned by Madam Yuan, a wealthy widow. There, Li Ho is immediately captivated by the delicate beauty of Madam Yuan’s daughter, Pei Fang (Dana), a young woman with radiant eyes and an elegant demeanor.

Unable to suppress his curiosity and infatuation, Li Ho secretly watches Pei Fang as she bathes. But fate plays a cruel trick on him—one of the household maids catches him in the act, peering through a gap in the door. In a moment of panic, Li Ho loses his balance and tumbles straight into the bathtub, creating a scene of utter embarrassment. Pei Fang’s screams quickly summon the entire household. Furious, Madam Yuan sees Li Ho as nothing more than a shameless scoundrel. Not only is he punished, but his old servant is dragged into the scandal as well. Both of them are beaten mercilessly before being thrown out in disgrace.

Wounded and humiliated, Li Ho and his servant continue their journey through the desolate countryside, where thick forests and eerie silence surround them. Lost and exhausted, they stumble upon a remote village and meet Hsi Hsueh Kuei, a kindhearted woodcutter who offers them shelter for the night.

As night falls, Li Ho finds solace in the company of the woodcutter’s two daughters. They are breathtakingly beautiful, with deep, mesmerizing eyes and porcelain-like skin that glows under the dim lantern light. Entranced by their mysterious charm, Li Ho willingly surrenders to their embrace, oblivious to the nightmare that awaits him.

The next morning, his old servant wakes up to a horrifying sight—his master has been reduced to a lifeless skeleton, drained of all vitality. The two alluring women who had enchanted him the night before were, in reality, bloodthirsty vampires. Overwhelmed with terror, the old servant flees for his life, but the creatures have already set their sights on him. As they give chase, he runs frantically into the depths of the forest, desperately trying to escape their grasp.

Sung Li Ho’s story ends in tragedy, serving as a chilling warning about the dangers of temptation and the terrifying mysteries hidden beneath beguiling beauty.
