Top gamblers such as Liao Shuhai, Zhao Tianyun, and the Japanese master Takakura gathered to fiercely compete, with no clear winner in sight. Suddenly, Takakura raised the stakes by an additional 30 million US dollars, challenging Liao and Zhao to bet their own hands. In the end, Liao and Zhao were defeated and had to cut off their hands, thus withdrawing from the gambling world. Master Zhou also declared that he would never host another gambling event again.
