Eun-ji’s mother, ever since sending her daughter to study abroad in Japan, has felt an emptiness in the house that was once filled with laughter. The loneliness deepened when her husband, the man she once loved, became involved in an affair with a younger woman. This betrayal had driven them apart, leaving her alone with long, quiet nights and unspoken thoughts.
As the days of solitude passed, she tried to escape the cold indifference of her husband by finding solace in the quiet of her home, but the sorrow remained. One day, Eun-ji returned from Japan, bringing with her two friends, Mika and Kaname. After such a long time apart, her daughter brought a fresh breeze into the house. The once-silent home was suddenly alive with chatter, laughter, and stories shared between them.
That evening, a small party was held, and in the cozy atmosphere, everyone enjoyed food, wine, and moments of joy. Yet, amidst the laughter, Eun-ji’s mother couldn’t shake the feeling of unfamiliarity, as though her life had become a worn-out book, and the people around her were new pages, hard to find harmony with.
