1994 was a time when Hong Kong cinema produced a lot of Cat 3 series, so there were quite a few that many viewers didn’t know about, because only the quality ones were popular, while the poorly made ones didn’t reach many people. This film was inspired by the crime genre, focusing on a serial rapist who liked to videotape his rapes and sometimes let his victims live and sometimes didn’t.

The main character is Poon (Poon Tak-chuen), a dull police officer assigned to catch the rapist and then the murderer. Not the most sensitive person to the first victim alive, he goes around her office telling everyone that she was raped and then when he interrogates her. She was asked by her boss to show her a house late at night and a man in a mask and candles was waiting for her. More rapes follow until he sees a woman who really makes him curious. From here, begins the journey to find and punish the murderer.
