Minori – The Headstrong Photographer in the Award-Winning Film Twitch – You Are My Toy
Minori is a determined and passionate photographer romantically involved with Kushida, her editor. During a challenging photography assignment, she clashes with Ageha, a female erotic manga artist who, like Minori, is 30 years old and single. This tense encounter highlights the complexities of modern women balancing career, love, and personal identity.
Shin’ichi, the journalist on the assignment, takes most of the blame for the project’s failure. After an unexpected night with Shin’ichi, Minori begins to suspect that Kushida might also be involved with Ageha, leading her to question her own lifestyle and relationships.
The film Twitch – You Are My Toy earned critical acclaim, winning the Bronze Prize for Best Film at the prestigious Pink Grand Prix, a major Japanese independent film award. Lead actress Yumeka Sasaki received the Best Actress award for her powerful and nuanced performance, while cinematographer Masahide Iioka was honored with the Best Cinematography award for his outstanding visual work.
