Hiroshi was a well-known ladies’ man in the neighborhood, the kind of guy who could just slick back his hair, flash a lazy smile, and send women falling faster than pachinko balls with no direction. But ironically, while Hiroshi ruled in the realm of romance, his luck at pachinko machines was darker than the bottom of a burnt rice cooker.

Meanwhile, Akira, 25 years old and still as pure as the first snow of winter, lived like a hermit accidentally dropped into modern society. And yet, when it came to pachinko, Akira was unbeatable. For every coin Hiroshi lost, Akira hit the jackpot like clockwork.

Torn between jealousy and pity, Hiroshi decided to help Akira escape his fate as a lifelong bachelor. His plan? To transform Akira into… well, not another version of himself, lest Akira end up a loser in love too. But every matchmaking attempt, from the girl at the corner drink stall to the pharmacy receptionist, crashed and burned faster than a broke gambler’s dreams.

Then one fine day, destiny knocked, quite literally, in the form of a letter from a mysterious lawyer. Akira was informed that he was about to inherit a mind-blowing sum of money: 88 million yen! The catch? He only gets the money if he gets married.

And so began a new chapter, with Hiroshi, fueled by years of dating experience and the desperation of financial ruin, stepping up as the accidental matchmaker. Meanwhile, Akira embarked on a hilariously awkward yet strangely touching quest to find a wife.
