Japanese love dramas are not very popular but are very well made. This film is a typical example, it depicts the mysterious friendship between a young man who breaks up with his girlfriend because he does not want to have sex, and his ex-girlfriend, a woman who is now worried about not having sex with her husband.

The main character here is Maruo, an independent film director who feels that he does not want to have sex because he loves her, but because of this he breaks up with his girlfriend Aki. Unable to forget Aki, he tries to make a new film based on his experience, but gets stuck in writing the script. Unable to find the answer himself, Maruo decides to meet her again to face that question. On the other hand, Aki is married to Tagashira, an office worker. Although she wants to have children, she is still worried about a sexless marriage. When Aki meets Maruo again after a long time, the two begin a secret relationship.
